Choose a size
From 5 GB to 10 TB. Choose a fixed amount of storage and always know exactly how much space you have.

Install and sign in
Driive appears as a drive on your Mac or PC. Sign in and connect it. macOS needs no separate mounting software; Windows may require a one-time WinFsp setup.

Use it like any drive
Drag files in, open them from your usual applications and save straight back to Driive. The same files are available from your phone and browser.
A drive, not a sync folder
Driive works as a mounted drive rather than a conventional sync folder. Your whole Driive does not need to exist as an additional local copy on your computer.

How it is built
A short technical overview of how Driive handles your files.
File storage in the EU
Your files are stored in a private object store in Europe. The storage is not public, and access is available only through Driive's authenticated services.
Gateway and quota
Reads and writes pass through Driive's gateway, which controls access and enforces the storage size attached to your account. An upload that would exceed the limit is stopped before it completes.
Local cache on your machine
Files you open can be kept temporarily in a local cache, up to the limit you choose. Recently used files can then open from local disk while the cache continues to leave free space on your computer.
Transferred in chunks
Large files are transferred in smaller chunks rather than loading the entire file into memory at once. This keeps memory use predictable and uses the same transfer model for both small and large files.
Security you can check
These are the main parts of the security model behind Driive.
Account isolation
Each account has a separate storage area. Access is checked by both the application and the storage gateway so that one user cannot address or access another account's files.
A unique key per computer
Each computer creates its own key pair. The private key is stored in the operating system's secure key store and is not sent to Driive. Removing a device revokes that device's access.
The server is verified too
The desktop app verifies Driive's server identity against a preconfigured server key. If the identity does not match, the connection is rejected.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Traffic between your devices and Driive's services is encrypted in transit. The storage provider also encrypts stored objects at rest.

Turn on end-to-end encryption
If you want nobody but you to be able to read your files, you can enable an encrypted vault. Both the contents and the file names are then encrypted in your browser before anything leaves the device.
- We cannot read your files. The server receives encrypted data, random identifiers and nothing else — not even what the files are called.
- The key never leaves your device. It is created on your machine and stored so that it cannot be exported, even from your own browser.
- You get a recovery key. It is the only way in on a new device — and if you lose it, we cannot help you back in either.
What to know first
Encryption is a choice you make, not the default, and it cannot be turned off afterwards. The mounted drive in Finder does not yet work with an encrypted vault, and the construction has not been reviewed by an outside security auditor — which is why we do not call it zero-knowledge.

Driive is built for people who want a large amount of storage that behaves like a normal drive — without keeping their entire file library on the computer.
Your files are stored in the EU
Driive's file storage sits in a European storage region. Where the bucket is placed is set when it is created.
Each account has its own storage area
Access is checked by both Driive's application and the storage gateway. Each account is limited to its own storage area.
A unique device key
Each computer uses its own key. Driive receives the public key while the private key remains on the device. Remove a computer and that computer's access is revoked.
No surrounding productivity suite
Driive is built for files. You do not need an email service, document suite or phone-backup ecosystem to use the storage.
You keep access when your subscription ends
When a paid subscription ends, the drive becomes read-only during the retention period. You can still download and delete files before data is scheduled for deletion under the Terms.

Choose a storage size and pay a fixed monthly price. Uploads stop when the space is full rather than creating unexpected storage charges.
