Get Driive

On a computer Driive becomes a drive in Finder or File Explorer. On a phone you add the app to your home screen — it opens in its own window, with no address bar.

Driive for macOS

Mounts as a drive without separate mounting software.

Built for Apple Silicon (M1 and later). Intel Macs are not supported yet.

Driive for Windows

Windows 10/11, 64-bit

The Windows version is in final testing and will be released once verification is complete.

The Windows version uses WinFsp to mount Driive as a drive. The app detects whether WinFsp is missing and guides you through a one-time setup step.

Driive for iPhone

Safari · iPad works the same way

  1. Open driive.cloud in Safari on your phone.
  2. Tap the Share icon in the toolbar.
  3. Choose Add to Home Screen.

It has to be Safari — other browsers on iPhone cannot install the app. Afterwards Driive launches in its own window with its own icon, like any other app.

Driive for Android

Chrome and other Chromium browsers

  1. Open driive.cloud in Chrome on your phone.
  2. Chrome offers to install it. If it says nothing, open the ⋮ menu.
  3. Choose Install app.

The app lands in your app list like any other, with its own icon and its own window.

If you would rather not install it, everything works the same in a browser — same files, same account. Open in the browser

First time: right-click and choose Open

Driive is distributed directly by us, not through the App Store. The app is not signed with an Apple developer certificate, so macOS warns you the first time. To open it:

  1. Drag Driive to Applications.
  2. Right-click Driive in Applications and choose Open.
  3. Click Open in the dialog that appears.

You only need to do this once. If it still refuses: open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway at the bottom.

Why the Mac version is distributed directly

Driive's mounting needs system access that does not fit the Mac App Store's sandbox model. The Mac version is therefore distributed directly by us, as an ordinary download.

Not signed yet

This build is not signed with an Apple Developer ID and not notarised. macOS therefore warns you the first time you open it. That is expected, and the download page walks through it step by step.

Your Driive account works everywhere

The subscription belongs to your Driive account and is not tied to an Apple ID. The same account works on every platform Driive supports.

How to know the file is ours

Always get Driive from the official download page on driive.cloud. Never download the app from anywhere else.

To check the file, compare its checksum. Run `shasum -a 256` on the downloaded file — the result should be:
